As a modern consumer I have less and less time to devote to sitting in front of a television. I tend to be on the go and take my entertainment with me. I also make sure that my hard earned money is spent on entertainment that i can both enjoy in a timely fashion as well as base around my own schedule. For those reasons HBO Go is very interesting to me, but there is one major obstacle preventing me from enjoying it, I choose not to subscribe to cable television. I get most of my entertainment from internet sources (Hulu, Netflix, etc). I no longer feel the need to pay for cable channels and programming I don’t watch. I understand that currently HBO Go is only available to cable subscribers with HBO but I ask you to reconsider. I am more than willing to pay for a standalone subscription to HBO Go. For modern consumers ease of access to entertainment is essential and a standalone subscription model for HBO Go would be exactly that.
